1/3 cup butter, softened
3 cups powdered sugar
1-1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 T. milk
Blend butter and sugar. Stir in vanilla and milk. Beat until frosting is smooth and of spreading consistency.
Variation: Make peanut butter icing by substituting peanut butter for the butter, and increasing the milk to 1/4 to 1/3 cup.
