Toralle (Italian Sugar Cookies)

(Makes about 40 cookies) 

3 eggs
5 T. sugar
1/4 cup Wesson oil
2 T. anisette
4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2 cups flour

Beat eggs, sugar, oil, and extract very well in mixer. Add baking powder, salt, and flour, and mix thoroughly. Dust hands with flour and roll into shape (using about 2 T. of dough). If batter is too soft, add a little more flour. The softer the batter, the more tender the cookie. Bake 350-375 degrees, about 10 minutes.

Ice cooled cookies with a thin mixture of confectioners' sugar, milk, and vanilla. Sprinkle candies on top.
